Sustainable Development Policy
The Company is committed to conducting business in accordance with the principles of good corporate governance with the goal of achieving corporate sustainability by enriching its footprint along economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
The Sustainable Development Policy is designed to serve as a framework for the Company’s operations in Thailand and overseas. The Company’s sustainability performance is regularly reviewed to ensure that it is yielding positive results that benefit all stakeholders.
Policy
Environment
- Establishing targets for reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption, as well as reducing the use of fossil fuels through efficiency improvements, advanced technologies, and the use of alternative and renewable energy sources.
- Improving resource efficiency, including using water efficiently, recycling where possible, and protecting water quality.
Social
- Striving to respect human rights and treat seafarers, employees, or personnel fairly, with the goal of ensuring non-discrimination, gender equality, personal development, and well-being.
- Striving to amplify the competence and skills of our employees and seafarers by way of conducting regular trainings and development programs.
- Striving to constantly improve health and safety at the workplace, with the goal of zero workplace accidents.
- Adopting socially responsible practices that create value for the community and the Company.
- Transferring the Company’s culture of sustainability to the entire value chain: customers, partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Governance
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations including tax codes of the countries where the Company operates, both domestically and overseas.
- Adopting good corporate governance practices to ensure transparency, avoid corruption, and encourage fair and ethical behavior.
- Managing risks and opportunities whilst mitigating adverse impacts on the environment, people, and assets.
- Developing and reviewing sustainability targets against appropriate benchmarks.
- Establishing mechanisms for continuous improvement, assessing performance through operations, and carrying out the necessary actions to achieve proposed objectives.
- Implementing information security and data confidentiality throughout the Company’s systems, while maintaining availability and integrity of information provided.
- Reporting transparently to stakeholders, using economic, environmental, and social performance indicators published in the Company’s sustainability reports.
Compliance
Directors, executives, employees, and seafarers at all levels are responsible for supporting, promoting, and adhering to the Sustainable Development Policy to foster a work culture that values the balance of economic, social, and environmental benefits.
Monitoring
This Sustainability Development Policy and the Company’s sustainability performance are regularly monitored by the Sustainability and Risk Management Committee and reported to the Board of Directors annually.
This Policy was approved by the Board of Directors on 11 May 2022.
