Green House Gas Emissions Management
Awareness of the detrimental effects of Global Warming, GHGs, and Sulphur dioxide pollution has become widespread, and focus on the environment has come under the spotlight. Virtually every industry is taking concrete steps to protect the environment and the Shipping Industry is no exception.
Precious Shipping is committed to reducing its carbon footprint by continuing to upgrade systems on existing vessels, analyze its operating profiles by considering shorter ballast passages, larger cargo hauls, and slow steaming.
Target: To continue improvements in emission-related performance and reduce the organizational carbon footprint with the goal to exceed the International Maritime Organizations’ carbon emission reduction targets.
1) To reduce CO2 emission upto 40% per transport work by 2030, pursuing efforts towards 70% by 2050 as compared to 2008 levels.
2) To reduce total annual GHG emissions by at least 50% by 2050 compared to 2008.
